Please put "My People" in the subject line, and tell us your device, OS version, app version, the screen where the problem happened, and the steps to reproduce it. Screenshots are optional; please hide other people's names and phone numbers. Don't send your data, passwords, verification codes, or card numbers.

We'll get back to you after reviewing your message. Messages are kept for 30 days after we reply and then deleted. Privacy requests are handled at the same address.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored only on your phone and in its backups (iCloud Backup or Google device backup). It is never sent to a My People server, so if you delete the app or lose your phone, we cannot restore your data for you.

Turn on your phone's backups, or keep a separate copy with Settings › Data › Export data. If you forget the password for an exported file, it can't be opened.

Moving to a new phone

On your old phone, go to Settings › Move to a new phone › Send. On your new phone, tap Scan code and scan the QR code on your old phone. You can move between iPhone and Android, too.

  • Both phones need to be on the same Wi‑Fi. Guest or office networks may not let devices connect to each other, so try your home Wi‑Fi.
  • Keep both phones' screens on until the transfer is complete. Switching to another app stops it.
  • If you can't use Wi‑Fi, export your data and use Restore from a data file on your new phone.

Not getting notifications?

  • Check that Settings › Morning summary is on in the app.
  • Check that notifications for My People are allowed in your phone's settings.
  • Check that a Focus mode (Do Not Disturb) or Android battery optimization isn't blocking them.

Widgets

You can see how to add the widget in the app under Settings › Widgets. The widget updates soon after you change something in the app, but it may take a little longer depending on your phone. Opening the app brings it up to date right away.

Free trial and subscription

  • The first 90 days from when you first open the app are free. No payment details are needed, and you are not charged automatically when the trial ends.
  • After the trial, adding, editing, deleting, and notifications stop. Viewing, calling and texting, moving to a new phone, and exporting still work. To keep using the app, start the monthly plan ($1.49 a month in the US) or the yearly plan ($14.99 a year).
  • If you changed phones or reinstalled the app, tap Restore purchases under Settings › Subscription.
  • To cancel, go to Settings › Subscription in the app to open the store's subscription management.
  • Payments and refunds are handled by the store. Request a refund from Apple · Google Play refund policies
